English title mistranslation[edit]

Unless this is a particular Japanese usage, the kanji 撰 means 'compose' or 'compile' and does not mean 'choose' or 'select'. This might be a confusion with the kanji 選, which does mean the latter. Could an expert follow up on this? Alsosaid1987 (talk) 07:06, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

I would translate the title as perhaps 'Newly Compiled Record of Clan and Lineage Names'. Alsosaid1987 (talk) 07:07, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
